In Russia there will be a federal project for the development of robotics

Vladimir Putin at the conference "Journey to the World of Artificial Intelligence" (AI Journey) said that a new federal project for the development of robotics will appear in Russia. It is necessary to eliminate the backlog of Russia from other countries in the implementation of industrial robots.

In this regard, I ask the government to develop and approve a new federal project for the development of domestic robotics, to determine the legal, tax, regulatory regimes, the necessary state support measures, as well as the mechanism for financing developments and their subsequent implementation,” Putin said.

He also urged to pay special attention to technologies that allow unleashing the potential of artificial intelligence, including quantum and photon computing, the Internet of things. The President recommended strengthening the link between science and business in the development of end-to-end technologies.

I ask our largest companies - Rosatom and Russian Railways - together with leading research universities with the support of Sberbank, to organize and hold a conference on new technologies for computing and data transmission next year, and the Ministry of Industry of the Russian Federation, together with industrial partners, a conference on new industrial technologies, - said Vladimir Putin offered to invite foreign colleagues “who want it” to the conference.
