IDS, an industrial camera manufacturer, is offering the 2 MP sensor IMX662 from Sony's Starvis 2 series in both color and monochrome versions. These sensors are designed to provide exceptional light sensitivity and are now available in the compact uEye+ XCP models and board-level versions in the uEye+ XLS series.

The uEye+ XCP models feature a closed housing with a size of 29 x 29 x 17 mm and a C-mount lens holder. On the other hand, the uEye+ XLS models have a size of just 29 x 29 x 7 mm and are available as board-level cameras with or without a C/CS- or S-mount lens holder. These USB3 industrial cameras deliver excellent performance in low-light conditions.

One of the key features of these cameras is the highly sensitive pixel technology. Additionally, the sensors come with an anti-reflection coating that improves image quality by reducing or eliminating lens flare caused by disruptive reflections.

The new models offer excellent value for money, with prices well below 200 euros. IDS plans to make the entire range of Sony Starvis 2 sensors available in different camera families in the future, providing customers with more flexibility in choosing these light-sensitive sensors.
