Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) is leveraging the onsemi™ Imager Access System (IAS) module standard to develop intelligent vision solutions for various applications such as robotics, machine vision, and commercial cameras. The adoption of the onsemi™ IAS module standard helps simplify the design process by addressing the lack of standardization in hardware interfaces across different technology blocks.

In collaboration with Appletec, Arrow has developed the latest IAS module, AP-VISION-AR0830-83, which incorporates the latest generation of onsemi image sensors. The onsemi Hyperlux™ LP family of sensors, known for their ultra-low power design, small form factor, purpose-oriented features, and high-quality imaging, are utilized in this module. The AR0830 sensor, a high-performance 4K sensor from the Hyperlux family, is now available in the market thanks to Arrow's IAS module, enabling customers to streamline camera development efforts with a top-notch module design.

This new module expands the existing portfolio of IAS modules provided by Arrow and Appletec. To ensure compatibility with leading embedded processors, Arrow collaborated with its subsidiary, eInfochips, and onsemi to develop drivers that enable the Appletec IAS modules to work seamlessly.

eInfochips, with its expertise in end-to-end vision solutions, including hardware design, image sensor integration and tuning, image processing, image driver development, low latency streaming, and AI inferencing on edge/cloud, played a crucial role in this collaborative effort. Their involvement helps deliver innovative vision solutions and accelerates design cycles while mitigating risks for client companies.
